Most girls show up to the studio excited about their senior pictures. They have spent hours primping, choosing outfits, picking out shoes, blog stalking photographers, creeping facebook pages, etc.  Not Megan.  She was there because she needed her pictures turned in for the yearbook deadline.  I think she was pleasantly surprised that having her pictures taken was actually FUN!  We had a blast and she was a natural.  I only had to tell her a couple of times how to pose and suddenly, she wasn’t shy and out came this MODEL.  She was so much fun to photograph. I’d like to do it all over again. Thanks for a great morning, Megan. :-)

This is one of those young men I will someday say about, “I knew him when. . .”  Drew is one of the most stoic, driven individuals I have ever met, and I’ve met a lot of people.  I was impressed by his family farm and enjoyed trekking through the property to take Drew’s senior pictures in Northwest Arkansas.  Thank you Fry Family for a great morning. And Drew, I’m glad it was as painful as you expected. :-)  ~M.G.

Dilan is one of those kids you just can’t help but like.  It’s not too often I see him without a smile on his face.  He’s a little on the ornery side, but that’s a good thing – most of the time.  It was a great day in the Ozarks for some senior pictures.  I had a few ideas in mind when it came to Dilan’s session, and I think they all came out “right on target.”

This was Abbie’s second session. She just has so much going on that we couldn’t fit it all into just one. From beauty pageants to pets to softball, I don’t know how you do it all. I hope you’re enjoying your senior year, Abbie!

It has been a lot of fun being able to see my students from last year.  It makes me realize how much I miss them though. Anthony gave me more than his fair share of aggravation, but he’s a pretty good kid.  I look forward to seeing him do well in life.

Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is one of my favorite places to shoot.  It’s beautiful, eclectic setting is perfect for all types of sessions from families to seniors to weddings.  This time of year you can’t turn the corner (and believe me, there are many of them!) without tripping over a photographer.  Victoria chose to have her senior portraits taken in Eureka Springs, and I don’t think she’ll be disappointed. It was a gorgeous day to go along with a gorgeous girl.

Ryan is one of those guys who has a story few know about. He has a will that is amazing and which makes me admire him more than I do most people.  I know he will be a successful young man simply because he has proven himself to have will power and initiative.  Berryville High School should feel proud to call him one of its own.

Ok, so everyone has been comparing him to George Strait.  I can think of worse comparisons!  William is one of my former students from Berryville High.  He’s sweet, and a bit on the mischievous side, but I can’t help but love him to death.  He’s a true good ol’ boy.

Sometimes there is a girl who goes unnoticed.  She blends in because she doesn’t wear make-up, style her hair everyday, or wear trendy clothes.  She is quiet.  She is watchful. She is pretty in a silent sort of way. Diamond is this girl. She is beautiful and I have always known this about her.  She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in some ways. When she asked me to photograph her for her senior pictures, my mind went crazy with the possibilities this girl presented.  I could just see, in my mind’s eye, a transformation from tom-boy-basketball-shorts-wearing girl to beautiful Diamond.  I made her promise to wear a dress, let me style her hair and put make-up on her. She agreed, and while she was a bit nervous at first, the end result is breath-taking. She is beautiful on a daily basis, but I don’t think she knew this. Berryville High School won’t know what hit them when they see these, Diamond!
